Orderful Nabs $10M From a16z - the EDI API Powering the Supply Chain

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz. We’re on a mission to improve the global supply chain by making EDI data trading immediate for buyers and sellers.

Our CEO, Erik Kiser, and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, David Ulevitch, spoke with Ingrid Lunden from TechCrunch about the problem with the supply chain and the archaic process of trading EDI data. Having worked with EDI for more than a decade, Erik identified challenges in the space. He saw an opportunity to build a platform that would change the system – an EDI API. Incumbent legacy providers service vendors in a manual way. What differentiates Orderful, is that it’s all about self-service EDI and enabling EDI data in minutes; not days, weeks or months.
